On 12th February the Senior School Ski Trip departed for Boston, America, for the annual ski trip with St Philomena's, a trip that has been running successfully for over 10 years now. With more beginners this year the instructors certainly had their work cut out, but credit to the students, behaviour was impeccable and therefore teaching the students was a joy. Whilst unlucky with the weather, -30 on the Tuesday, all the students and staff were lucky to ski every day for the duration of the trip. Evenings were spent either shopping at the outlet store, which, for many of the students was a nice way to unwind after a tough day of skiing. A trip to the cinema and a quiz night formed the remaining night’s activities and it was safe to say that tension was high in the final round of the quiz.
After the quiz, both sets of students presented the teachers with small gifts to show their appreciation in organising and spending their half term with the students. The trip could not have been such a success without the travel company Skibound and our rep Sooty. Most importantly thanks goes to Ms Ellis, Ms O'Reilly and Ms James for their huge support and effort in ensuring the trip went well.
