Year 12 Historians win First Round of United Nations Association Debating Competition

On Thursday 12th November Miss Smith took Michael Williams and Karlon Bonsu to Wallington Boys Grammar School where they took part in the first round of the United Nations Association debating competition.  This is a national competition and the regional heats attract schools from Surrey, Kent and Sussex. Our two historians were opposing the motion that 'Social networks should not allow anonymity and should be legally required to disclose an identity when a crime is committed'. Michael and Karlon won this debate with a score of 72 to 66. They were praised by the two judges from the UNA for their preparation and presentation skills.
