Sporting Commitment and Spectator Conduct

Weekend Sports Commitment

All pupils are expected to be available on weekends should they be selected to represent the school.

The John Fisher School has a traditional approach towards school sport, with the expectation there will be full support from each family. Please be aware the importance The John Fisher School attaches to the weekend sport commitment before applying for a place for your son at the school.

Most events take place on a Saturday, but a small number of competitions may well be held on a Sunday. Please check the school calendar for all sporting events.

Spectators' Code of Conduct

The John Fisher School has a reputation, not only for the quality of our perfomance but also for the spirit of generocity  which pupils, staff, parents and friends display both on and off the field of play. The following is the minimum expectation for spectators supporting our pupils:

Demonstrate appropriate social behaviour at John Fisher sporting events.

Remember children play for enjoyment, please don’t let your behaviour detract from their enjoyment.

Let game officials conduct events without interference.

Support skilled performances and team play with generous applause.

Demonstrate respect for opposing players and their supporters.

Support our policy of a smoke and alcohol free environment.
