The John Fisher School is one of 170 voluntary-aided schools under the trusteeship of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark. The Archdiocese covers the London boroughs south of the Thames, the County of Kent and the Medway Unitary Authority. Our Archbishop is Archbishop Peter Smith who was installed at Saint George's Cathedral on 10th June 2010.
Our school is one of six Catholic schools in the parish of St John the Baptist, whose parish priest, Canon Jim Pannett, is a John Fisher 'Old Boy'. The John Fisher School Chapel is a 'Daughter Chapel' of the parish.
The Faith Movement, formed in 1972, aims to foster the Catholic faith and spiritual life of many people, especially through youth events and various publications. At John Fisher, the Faith Club is open to all pupils and staff, and meets each Friday afternoon in the Sixth-Form Centre.
CAFOD is the official Catholic aid agency for England and Wales. It works with partners in more than 40 countries across the world to bring hope, compassion and solidarity to poor communities, standing side by side with them to end poverty and injustice.
