The aim of the club is to introduce the pupils to the enjoyment and pleasure that can be gained from playing the game of chess.  Chess is not only a challenging and exciting pastime that can become a rewarding lifetime activity, but it also provides opportunities for developing social confidence and analytical skills.

We are renowned as a very friendly club and new members are always welcome. If you'd like to learn chess, or if you know how the pieces move but would like to learn move, this may be what you're looking for.

Chess is a great way for children to develop concentration and strategic thinking while having fun at the same time.
